Rani Wemel, a law lecturer resigned in 2000 to spend more time with her children. She founded LTT Global from her dining table with a vision to make learning accessible and affordable and she brings with her 35 years of work experience too. She currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer (COO), of LTT Global and MyMobileUni, a global pioneer and award wining company that has been creating awareness through its various joint activities together with the public, private and academic sectors to encourage these informal methods of learning to promote human capital development and impact lives through education.
In this role, she oversees global operations and engagements focused on driving continuous improvement, productivity, and learning and development efforts as well as leveraging new operating models and technologies for client transformation in all verticals. Among her signature projects is her global initiative launched in 2013 to impact lives through learning called MyMobileUniversity which is in-line with United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goal #4, promoting quality learning content, inclusive learning opportunities and to encourage lifelong learning.
Today LTT Global is a key learning partner for impact projects in Malaysia, Indonesia, Nepal, Liberia, Uganda, India and Nigeria empowering among others women, youth, refugees and people with special needs. She is a proud finalist in the “teleworking mums” contest organized by e-homemakers.net in 2004 in collaboration with the Ministry of Women and Family Development Malaysia and a nominee for the Prime Minister’s Woman Entrepreneur 2011 Award and Woman Social Activist 2011 Award. In 2016 she received the Women Excellence Awards under the category of Women Entrepreneur in Education (Mobile Learning) Award held in conjunction with International Women’s Day Commemoration, in Sri Lanka. She is a Graduate of Cherie Blair Foundation for her MyMobileUniversity global initiative to power human capital development. She also serves as an Honorary Advisor, Mentor, Speaker, Panelists and sits on committees driving the mobile and education sectors.
